In line with the activities LDI is holding around the world in order to introduce and promote LDI’s mission, vision, goals, and objectives, Princess Hayat Arslan, a member of the LDI Advisory Board, visited Kuwait on November 5, 2014. Ms. Loubna Adlouni, LERC/LDI Liaison Officer for Kuwait, organized the event with the cooperation of Mr. Rabih el Chaer, an Advisor to the Kuwaiti Minister of Information and Youth. A meeting with Sheikha Hussah Sabah Al Salem Al Sabah took place during which Princess Arslan discussed Lebanese and Kuwaiti common cultural and social issues. Shaikha Hussah, who is the Director General of Dar al-Athar al-Islamiyyah (DAI) and who is invested in subjects related to art, multi-culturalism and inter-faith dialogue, was keen on encouraging and supporting the LDI campaign in Kuwait. Ms. Adlouni also organized a meeting for Princess Arslan with members of the Lebanese Society Ladies Committee—an active Lebanese group that organizes socio-cultural activities in Kuwait. During the meeting, Princess Arslan discussed the aim and the importance of the initiative for Lebanon, the Middle East and the world. The attendees were encouraged to sign the LDI electronic petition and to share it.
