MR. GLEN KALEM (Australia)
Mr. Glen Kalem is native of Sydney, Australia; he studied at the Deakin University, the Australian Film, TV and Radio School (AFTRS), the Media Business School (MBS), and MetroSceen Sydney. He is an award-winning independent filmmaker producing short films and factual documentaries. He is an accomplished international Kahlil Gibran Research/Historian working closely with Gibran scholars and researchers. Globally their aim is to establish and promote intercultural and interreligious dialogue, particularly in academia. His passion and global research for Kahlil Gibran spanning 20 years is currently being developed into a feature length documentary by his company Elucidate Pictures. Among his productions is Kahlil Gibran: The Reluctant Visionary and Dangerous Ground. He has also embarked on an ambitious multimedia project with the corporation of the Lebanese American University (LAU) and the University of Western Sydney to build and create the largest ever website documenting the footsteps of Lebanese Migration; Lebanon Without Borders. An avid food lover, he currently resides in-between Sydney, Australia, and his father’s village of Wadi Qadisha in North Lebanon. |
